Project 5
Here is a nice little composite that I made last semester for my sticky dice restaurant website.
Id love to hear everyone's feedback on what I could add to this.
Mount Wachusett Community College, in Gardner MA offers a 2-year program for Graphic and Interactive Designer students. This final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. This blog is produced by the GID Portfolio class under the direction of instructor Coni Porter.
The use of photography in the background is really nice, I feel like it really sets the tone for the piece. The Logo portion I feel is also incredibly dynamic. My only criticism is that the more I look at the goblet element in the logo, the more I'd love to see the other half. The choice of typeface for this really sells the tabletop gaming aesthetic really well. Overall I think for a composite piece, this is a wonderful entry.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ryan above, I wonder what it would look like as a full piece and not only half. I also don't think you need the boxes on the sides of the logo. For me my eyes go right to the boxes instead of the logo. Looks good!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I may be out of the loop on this project. I'm not sure what it is for... sounds like a gaming ad? So all I can do is look at the aesthetics. I question the white horizontal band running through the photo. Why is that there? If you need it... then maybe another color? And since the above comments mention needing to see the entire goblet, you will need to experiment with its placement. Have you considered changing its color, and moving it to the upper left, and ghosting it (so we don't see it at first, but will eventually)... like you did with the HUD elements in other project?
