Project 3--Red Panda Illustration

Image
Here's Project 3! This seal was created for an endangered animal site in support of different animals. I found the seal that needed to be fixed up was the Red Panda, so I decided to re-work this one. (old is first, the new is second) I completely overhauled the illustrated elements and re-did the text. It looks more like a red panda now and would certainly make a great sticker or tee shirt design. Let me know if there's anything else I can do with it. Thanks!

Project 2--Final version?

Image
To add some more elements to the bottom in creating balance. I took Coni's critique to add a fish, except I thought jellyfish might look cool. It also adds a bit to the tension someone feels when they are anxious. Let me know if there's anything else to fix here.

Project 1--Final version?

I moved the website to the bottom instead of having it inside the bubble. I think I'm probably done with it. Anything else to fix?

Project 3: Illustration

Image
This is my illustration of Abraham Lincoln. I have made Lincoln text bigger and the paragraph text bigger. I have also added a drop shadow behind Lincoln.

PSA Domestic Violence/Pets

Image
I have increased the saturation on the purple ribbon and have fit the text more comfortably within the space inside of the ribbon area, making it easier to read.  I have also increased font size of the tagline "Shelter Together", as it is the main message of the PSA.

Malala Illustrated Portrait update

Image
I have abbreviated some of the body copy and have fit it onto the newspaper with better line spacing.  I have lowered the opacity on the books in the background so that the quote pops more.  I have increased the font size for Malala's name and have used a larger stroke around the letters.

Surreal Landscape Photoshop 2/28 update

Image
I have rearranged the poem around the frame in such a way that it is in the sequence that the poem was written.  The poem itself is quite long, and very surreal, so I have only chosen the lines that have the most visual imagery associated with them. My thought in leaving the lines written in the stars  more obscured is to bring the feeling of the night/death closing in on the poet.  Let me know what you think.

Project 3-Rework

Image
This was my first PSA design I did for Design Theory on domestic abuse. My goal was to communicate the behavior and effects caused by domestic violence. My audience is young women ages 16-24 because they experience the highest rate of relationship violence. I wanted this PSA to speak out against the common misconception of women believing when someone says to them "it will never happen again." I got rid of the organization's "NO MORE" logo, changed the levels on the woman's face and brightened the value of the black and white letters.

Project 2--Updated

Image
This is my Anxiety PSA. I expanded the sky upward to give more space for the type and enlarged it. I also put the link below it instead of at the bottom. I also fixed the lighting and gradients on the sky a bit to not make it quite as dark at the top. Please let me know if there's any more I can do to make it better. Thanks!

Project 1--Updated

Image
After some feedback, I decided to expand the cloud outside the frame to further make it a bit more wispy and make the person feel even more closed in by the depression. I also enlarged/ expanded the text to get rid of all that extra white space. I wanted to liven the type up because it was dull before. So, I added more color with some shapes and colored text (with a much better font as well.) I also made the rain fall further down. I'm hoping to be all done with this one soon, as I've put lots of work into it. So, please give some feedback on if it looks okay like this or not. or what I can fix or make better. Thanks!

Project 2 Rework

Image
Version 2 Original This was a project I did in one of Leslie's class. I was so proud of how this came out, but I was dissatisfied with the basic background, so I wanted to rework it to make it a little more unique and special, this lady is one of my role models

Project 2: Magazine

Image
This is my magazine project. It is a gymnastics magazine. The magazine features celebrity gymnasts such as Simone Biles. My target audience is gymnasts, young adults, teenagers and people who love gymnastics. I have made the images brighter in the cover and the spreadsheet and changed some of the colors on the contents page.
