Personal Logo--FINAL VERSION

Image
Hi everyone. I had struggled with these letters for a while but this is finally what my vision was. I have included my name and gotten rid of the L, as I do not use my middle name. I feel this is my final version and I'm excited to include this in my resume and business card design.

Magazine Reworked

Image
I spent the past week working on project 6 - my magazine cover/contents/spread.  I made major changes based on peer feedback, as well as my own self-critique.  Here's the background-  the concept of the magazine is body positivity, which is the radical acceptance of one's body as it is, with all of it's' perceived "flaws" - weight, wrinkles, stretch marks, etc.  I named it Flawsome at the time.  I have renamed it Bodacious - which means "excellent, attractive, and audacious in an admirable way.  I am happy with the changes I've made, which were considerable.  All of the graphics (t shirts, buttons)  in the design I did with mockups in photoshop, as well.  Cover Contents page Spread

Project 5--Changes Made

Image
I shifted everything down to add more space between the title and the rest of the composite, as well as got rid of some of that whitespace down at the bottom. I also got rid of "A short story," because it's not needed if this is a book cover.

Digital Illustration Portrait - Suggested Changes Made

Image
I have made changes with increasing the contrast of the illustration by bringing out more highlights to the right side of her face and important shadows on the left. I also changed the last sentence in the summary.

SafeRun - Suggested Changes Made

Image
I made typography changes by distorting the heading font, helping to fill up more space. I also reduced the size of my logo and changed it to regular italic instead of bold, strengthening the heading.  My last change was to increase the size of the website and included a "learn more at" tagline.

Menu - Suggested Changes Made

Image
Changes I have made to the menu include recoloring the "red" in the logo so the hue matches with the red borders, capitalized the "B" in Grand Boards, solved a negative space solution on the Hor - D'oeuvres page, rewrote headings for the "Build Your Own Board" section, and lastly thought of a design solution for the drink menu by lightening the wood texture since I did wish to keep it and placing the images in the background at a low opacity which I was happy with.

Client Logo Re-work and Color Variants

Image
Hi guys. I have done some improvements on the client logo. I have used a vectorized typeface that I modified slightly to fit with the flow of the wave. I have also cleaned up the wave itself, as before the splashes and brush use was a bit too much. I feel this version is more cleaned up but still playful; I certainly don't want a swim team to seem too boring and structured, as swimming is very enjoyable for the team members. The team members are 18+, any age pretty much. It looks similar to the national Masters logo, but my clients seem to want to retain some uniqueness with it being the Mount's team. I have moved on to the color variants here as well. In this screenshot, I have a few artboards. I have the black and white version and then the separate artboards with variants of the color palettes chosen by the coach. The national team's colors are red and blue, so I'm thinking they will most likely go with that one, but I have some options. I know greens were an ...

Project 7

Image
Here is my first photoshop project from last year. This was a Henry David Thoreau project. The first and second image shows a tiger with an overlay image of a waterfall. The top is supposed to mean that the earth is being polluted from factories. This is harming living species like tigers since people are destroying tiger habitats and other living species habitats. The bottom image shows a forest, a flower, and a tiger. I have made some adjustments to the compositions.

Rework- Digital Illustration Portrait

Image
This is the portrait I illustrated while in Digital Illustration. The top is the original work and below is my reworked version. I adjusted her skin tone so the layers blended better and now I feel like it looks more natural.

Rework- Safe Run

Image
I made changes to my previous posted design such as adding an outer glow to the headline and also adding drop shadows to Safe Run and my added " the future of running is finally here." I changed the effect of the background so that you could better see the protective light around the figure. I think there is a better use of space and more contrast between the typography and graphic elements.

These are the first drafts of my logos for my client at the Ayer library. They showed me a photo with a rainbow in the background of the building and that inspired me. The building is resting on an open book which playfully hints at the encouragement for reading at their location. The more vector based building is all hand drawn, and the more realistic logo is based off of an actual photo. Thoughts?

This is my logo design for a menu project inspired by a Dutch art movement "De Stijl". This is one of my favorite logos.

Personal Logo--Big Update

Image
Hey guys. After much experimenting and examination, I decided the way the gradients and shapes were layed in the old logo just wasn't what my original idea was at all. So, I really wanted a big overhaul on it. I still think the S is giving me issues and doesn't look the way I'd like, but the C and L look much more like what I originally wanted. The ribbon-like curled gradients is a very cool design trend that I had wanted to capture in some way when I'd first started sketching for this logo. It's a very hard thing to replicate in Illustrator but I feel quite a bit better about this direction.

Rework - Safe Run Ad

Image
This is part of a design campaign I created while I was in Advanced Digital Imaging. This was my favorite of the three ads I designed. The three ads are quite similar in design so I wanted to submit this one into the showcase. Safe Run is a fictional, state-of-the-art environment throughout urban cities that provide routes that are safe and comfortable for active lifestyles. Since it became challenging for me to expand on the design, I wasn't sure how to improve on it from here. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Rework - Menu

Image
This is a gate fold menu I made while in Publication Design. The art movement my design is based off of is cubism. I decided to take the wood grain texture out of the main menu and instead have the same grainy effect for the borders as I do for the illustrations I made. I feel like the wooden texture fits well with the drink menu so I kept that the same.

I tried to get all the print adds as consistent as possible as far as the logo size was concerned, any more feedback would be appreciated.

Improved sticky dice

Did a bit more work on the sticky dice pieces based on feedback let me know what you think, especially on which color I go with moving forward?
