Project 6: Changes Made

Image
Instead of having the athletic wear logo be that yellow/green, I changed it to an orange to match more with the rest of the colors in the ad.

Drink Menu - Changes Made

Image
I reduced the point size of the menu item names, making room to space out each section so that the headings sit clearly with their descriptions.

Service Learning - Brochure

Image
I was working with a non profit called Open Sky Community Services who offer resources and services to a broad range of people from people with disabilities to those struggling with mental health. My first job for the client was to create a "Warm Line" brochure to give out to members who may need someone to talk to after clubhouse hours. The client gave me very little body copy for the brochure so I added some things myself and worked with what I had. I chose this font because it is easy to read, and the colors are Open Sky's brand colors.

Business Card and Personal Brand Mockups

Here is my business card and mockups of what it may look like when printed.

Project 6: Athletic Wear Ad: Update

Image
I thought it might be cool to not only add some text to the ad, but brand it. So here I have added my own logo. Artemis is the Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt, so she is usually depicted with an arrow. I have a deconstructed, abstract bow and arrow in this logo along with a more futuristic take on an old name and a bright chartreuse to be seen amidst the other colors. I chose a powerful goddess name to attract a female demographic. My tagline is "To Victory." So the reader can finish the verb "Run" with "To Victory."

Project 4 Revisions- Triptych

Image
Here is my submission for project 4 revisions. It is a triptych design. There were a modicum of revisions. -To start, I changed the sky to a proper sunburst pattern, as opposed to the diagonal lines.  -I completely reworked the comet in the center panel. - I made the temple and pillar motifs completely white to add contrast. - The perspective grid was moved to the bottom third of the piece to add more emphasis to the sky. Let me know what you think of this piece. Any critique/comments are welcome.

Project 3 Revisions

Image
Here are my revisions to the Typecombo project from typography class. I changed the white outlines and elements to a subtle off-white tone in an attempt to add more harmony to this piece. I also tried to fix the formatting on the body copy. Any critique and suggestions are always welcome.

Restaurant Project Revisions

Image
I've continued to update my restaurant project, It was suggested that I edit the logo so that white was included in the logo. I also changed the the list item font on the drink menu to make it more consistent with the main menu. Any feedback is appreciated.

Magazine final draft?

Image
Hi - I have made the suggested changes to my magazine.  I have taken the stroke off of the serif typeface to make it easier to read and have played around with the sizing and positioning of the article titles on the cover.  On the contents page I have made a few refinements and on the spread I have taken out the pins between the body copy columns and have neatened them up as well.  Feedback appreciated.

Menu possible final draft?

Image
I have incorporated the suggestions from the last post of these menus.  I have changed the typeface for the title and headings to all caps for better legibility.  I have used one hue of blue throughout and have decided to desaturate the inside of the dessert menu, as well, to increase the unity throughout even more.  Feedback appreciated!  Dinner Menu Cover Dinner Menu Inside Dinner Menu Back Cover Dessert Menu Cover Dessert Menu Inside Dessert Menu Back Cover

Let sleeping dogs lie - Typographic image

Image
So one night after my dog had fallen asleep I got a photo of him and it is very rare to actually get to see him sleep, he was quite tired that day so I did my best as to not disturb him when taking the photo, After that, I decided that I wanted to make a general statement of Letting the sleeping dogs sleep. I chose the brown hue for the image because that is the closest color to his actual fur, the blue spheres are there to create contrast with the fur color but also positioned to lead the person's eye from the typographic image to the phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie", and I doubt anyone likes being disturbed from their sleep especially if they look this peaceful Feedback would be appreciated on this artwork.

Blade fall revised final ?

Made some edits based off of the feedback from the last post, how does it look.

Project 5 Book Cover

Image
For Project 5, I wanted to redo 1/3 of my book covers. I fixed alignment issues, and brightened the overall image a little more. I also moved the person over a little bit.  Final:  Original:

Project1 Final

Image
Here is my Project 1 Final version of my Ellen Portrait. I never posted the final version. I took out type that was placed beside her head and changed her name at the top. I also changed the background to make it look like her stage color/design was behind her (on her show she has a gradient, geometric pattern behind her) I am really happy with how this came out. Final:  Original Version:

Personal Branding/Business Card

Image
Here is my final personal brand Logo, and 2 versions of business cards. My style is very clean, minimalistic. I tend to do mostly black and white, but I love the blue color I chose. As for business cards, I chose dimensions for a Square card versus a standard card size. Let me know what you think!

Project 6: Running/Athletic Ad

Image
Hey guys. This running themed composite was originally created for advanced photoshop homework. (first pic) I wanted to revisit this because, though I liked the concept of Difference filter letters over the face like a kind of battle paint feel, I didn't like how in my original, the model wasn't running and I didn't like how the type was laid out. The second image is it now. I changed the model and overhauled every part of it. I have gradients, color overlays, and neon pops to add life and vibrancy to it. I feel like this could be a good ad for athletic wear. Feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.

This is the finished logo with the name beneath it for my menu project.

This is an example of some imagery from a PDF version of my menu project. There are many more pages but this is a small portion of it in which I have fixed some mistakes and spelling and things.

Bladefall revised and simplified

Image
So I thought really hard on this one, trying to think on ways to make the design better, and so instead of trying to make the image more complex, I decided to try something a little bit more simple and kept with the theme of a book cover and a fantasy novel. while at the same time keeping elements of the first design that I personally liked. This is the result I intend to fiddle more with the typography and adding more elements to it but I'm trying to keep the look a bit more simplified. any feedback is appreciated.

SOS Logo/Card Design

Image
Ok, So for the SOS project it a more modern for the school's Brewer office. These are usually printed out on little cards and have a list of what services are offered to students. so I condensed the information into the design, I have gotten a lot of feedback from the client on this one and I am pretty proud of it despite how simple it is. My goal here was to make it easier to associate with the college, as well as the Brewer Center itself and all the services it provides. This was the original logo for the office This is my Logo/card Please note that the bright blue and lime greens were requested to offset the greens and blues of the college logo. Feedback is appreciated

Sign designs for Ayer conservation commission thus far

Image
Hello everyone just dropping in the rework of the signs for the Ayer conservation commission, I want to show off what I currently have for them so far, get some input. Please note that some of the elements such as the colors and the birds will have to stay, as well as most of the text, I want more input on layouts and shape sizes vs type sizes. Here is what I have so far. Also, the bird was a logo supplied to me by the customer and they wanted it reused. . For this first one, I already intend on tweaking the position of "thank you". Please note that these next two are works in progress, I'm trying to get more info for these
