Let sleeping dogs lie - Typographic image

So one night after my dog had fallen asleep I got a photo of him and it is very rare to actually get to see him sleep, he was quite tired that day so I did my best as to not disturb him when taking the photo, After that, I decided that I wanted to make a general statement of Letting the sleeping dogs sleep. I chose the brown hue for the image because that is the closest color to his actual fur, the blue spheres are there to create contrast with the fur color but also positioned to lead the person's eye from the typographic image to the phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie", and I doubt anyone likes being disturbed from their sleep especially if they look this peaceful

  1. Nick - I'm not sure we can recognize the dog portrait you've made with typography. I wonder if it is because the size of the letters in his head are too large to capture small detail. I suggest you try that photoshop technique again with maybe his using his name, a sans serif smaller font, and see if you can capture the details in his face better. The title of the book... I'm wondering about your choice of font. Why script? The formality of that font doesn't really capture a sleeping dog... does it? Since it is a title, you need to capitalize all words "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie". The blue circles almost appear as if they are thought bubbles.... why not actually create thought bubbles, and change the title to "Why Not Let Sleeping Dogs Lie?" So, it's what he would be thinking.
