Bladefall revised and simplified
So I thought really hard on this one, trying to think on ways to make the design better, and so instead of trying to make the image more complex, I decided to try something a little bit more simple and kept with the theme of a book cover and a fantasy novel. while at the same time keeping elements of the first design that I personally liked.

I intend to fiddle more with the typography and adding more elements to it but I'm trying to keep the look a bit more simplified. any feedback is appreciated.
The textural background is great, and lends a leathery type of feel to the embossed logo. This logo is so symmetrical, I suggest you use that type of balance for the cover. Make sure to center every bit of typography on the page. What does that small type say? I can't read it - so maybe it needs to move and get a bit bigger? Maybe along the very bottom, or top?
ReplyDeleteI love the illustration and the textural background. I agree that the small type could be a bit bigger and maybe put it at the bottom of the illustration. The fonts you chose for the book fits your design. It also fits your theme of making this a fantasy novel. Overall, great job!
