Project 2-Rework

Image
This project is probably my favorite one that I have done throughout the entire program because I had a lot of fun creating the pages and felt confident when it was complete. I decided to create a magazine for female artists called Muse since it was something I wish existed. My target audience is female, beginner to intermediate artists ages 20-30 that value self improvement and inspiration. I did make some minor adjustments to the second page of the spread by playing around with the circular image placement in the bottom and also adding a white border around them which was suggested through peer review. I am overall really happy with the elements and principles throughout my design process but I am open to suggestions for further improvement.

Project 1-Update

Image
This is an updated version of my first project that I had revised. I appreciate the suggestions given! What I have done to improve the triptych is change the position of the lines that represent rays from the clock. I have also enlarged the type so that each line sits in between each line and gave equal space between each line.

Malala update

Image
I have updated most of the background elements to create a more cohesive design.  I moved the quote up and fit it around Malala's shoulder.  I decided to use a serif font for her name, enlarge it and changed the hue.  I also took the original body copy, edited it down quite a bit and fit it on the newspaper so that it flowed better in the composition.  Feedback is welcome...

This is a inspiration poster i created. The background is hand drawn and also includes my own photography.

PSA reworked

Image
I have moved some of the text up into the ribbon/triangle shape area and have attempted to make the purple in the logo and text at the bottom of the poster more legible by choosing a lighter purple hue.  Any feedback or ideas?

Surreal Landscape Updated

Image
I have continued to rework and refine this piece.  Thank you for the suggestions, they have helped with the process.  I have lightened the text around the frame and have added a few small graphic elements there as well.  I have attempted to get the words on the moon to stand out a bit more by adding a ribbon behind the text and a drop shadow to them, as well.  I also moved a line from the waves on the right up into the cloud/constellation area.  Let me know what you think.

Project 1 Rework

Image
Original File Rework V1 I lost a lot of the assets (website logo, picture frame, background) present in the original project, which is why the quality of it is less than stelar, but the text and the portrait are still available, so reworking this won't be too hard.

Project 2 Density duds

Image
Did a small retouch on the colors for the density duds design campaign. I will try other colors and later this week and I will add any updates for feedback. I am going to have to redo the female advert from scratch as the one I have does not fit the bill.

Project 1 rework

an expanded rework of the project one.

Hello every one. This was my first Photoshop project ever, that I did it in basic Photoshop class, with help of great training of professor Porter, as an add campaign for environmental protection. please tell me what do you think? should I change the fonts? what I can do to make it better?

Project 2: Drowning Composite/Anxiety PSA

Image
Hi again, everyone. Here is Project 2. I created this composite to represent anxiety and the feelings that come with it. A lot of people, myself included have experienced it, so I wanted to capture it here. I didn't make it for a class; it was a personal project. However, I thought perhaps it would be a good addition to my portfolio, showcasing my compositing skills and could even have potential as a PSA. Changes I made: I added text, edited the lighting and color balance, and added more hair under the water. I also put a gradient in the sky to tone down the clouds, which were a bit distracting, and added more photo filters to the water to make it more blue and read better as water. I'd love feedback on how to make it better. I feel the type still needs work, so I'd appreciate you guys' thoughts on this.

Project 1 Revision

Image
I decided to redo my portrait illustration first. I had a plain blue background and the body copy was badly placed around Ellen in the vertical landscape orientation. I wanted to create a background that looked similar to her blue show colors on her stage. I had a hard time figuring out how to place body copy in the vertical orientation one so I just left out everything besides her name. I then tried a horizontal version but due to have a sharp edge on the side of her arm I created a box to place her name in. I decided to keep just a quote from her on the layout. Im not completely happy with how it is yet. Let me know what you think! :)
