Project 2-Rework
This project is probably my favorite one that I have done throughout the entire program because I had a lot of fun creating the pages and felt confident when it was complete. I decided to create a magazine for female artists called Muse since it was something I wish existed. My target audience is female, beginner to intermediate artists ages 20-30 that value self improvement and inspiration. I did make some minor adjustments to the second page of the spread by playing around with the circular image placement in the bottom and also adding a white border around them which was suggested through peer review. I am overall really happy with the elements and principles throughout my design process but I am open to suggestions for further improvement.
What a great idea! The colors and fonts you have chosen work well for your audience. Some things to consider are: Cover... the bottom "10 sales tips" area seems to be sitting in an amorphous blue shape. What is that shape? I think you might want it to appear as if it's a brush stroke. If so - please work on it so it is more clear, and reduce it so it just holds the type in a more compact way. Table of Contents... do you need more negative space below the first feature? You are highlighting it by adding a color shape behind it... so it now appears to crowd the second item. Revisit your visual line spacing in this list to make sure it appears consistent. Last page... why not add some line spacing to the body copy, to make this more inviting to read as well as helping to fill out the page just a bit more.
ReplyDeleteMelisa it is beautiful! you have used my favorite color (light teal), which is match very well with the title of magazine. The font you have used in first paper is awesome. in my eye, it's ready to go!
