I love the colors that you chose for the design. I love the shapes that you used in your design. The only critique is that I think you need to have a focal point in the top composition because right now the focal point is everything.Other than that, the composition is designed really well. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteSo, as a painting that is involved with texture and color as the main elements… you don’t always need a focal point. But I wonder if you would consider using this as artwork within a layout design. In which case, this painting itself would no doubt be the focal point. What project could this artwork be used for? A book cover? A building or vehicle wrap? A poster? Depending on the project, you might be adding type to the layout somewhere outside of the painting… so, who might your client be? What would be their message? Just something to think about…. and using this as an element in a larger project would help this fit into a graphic design portfolio as something beyond a painting.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful work. The colors and patterns are so vibrant and engaging. It is such a pleasure to look at. I see this is as a poster or album art. It feels like there is some sort of backstory to this piece. I am interested in seeing how this piece develops.
