Project 1--Updated
After some feedback, I decided to expand the cloud outside the frame to further make it a bit more wispy and make the person feel even more closed in by the depression. I also enlarged/ expanded the text to get rid of all that extra white space. I wanted to liven the type up because it was dull before. So, I added more color with some shapes and colored text (with a much better font as well.) I also made the rain fall further down. I'm hoping to be all done with this one soon, as I've put lots of work into it. So, please give some feedback on if it looks okay like this or not. or what I can fix or make better. Thanks!
I really love your illustration! Your composition is unified and balanced. The colors you chose work well with the design. The font choice you used for the text work well with the design too. Overall, great job! I can’t find anything to critique.
ReplyDeleteThis has only gotten stronger - nice work. However, has the website really found its place yet? I think the illustration is stronger without it inside. Your first instinct to keep it outside, was probably a good one. So, consider removing it… and placing it directly below the “bubble” rather than in a corner (throwing off the balance). One thought would be to widen the bottom edge of that black frame, and place it there. A mid-value color would help us read it against the black. Just a suggestion.
