Project 1 Revision
This project is a triptych I had made while in Digital Illustration. Its intent was to be a possible environmental design for a room within the library at the school. While reworking this project my target audience is for ages 7-14. What I am trying to communicate through this design is looking forward into the future, learning, and imaginative thinking. The clock represents time and I also have a representation of learning and exploring from reading a book and VR learning. I chose vivid, 70's retro colors for this piece because of the lines and shapes throughout, and I thought it would unify the design.
I really love the color choices in this! Definitely a 70's retro feel. I kind of wonder what it would look like if the whole thing was flipped. (So the boy reading was on the left and the girl was on the right looking outwards with the VR) To show how technology is evolving. Either way I think its great what you have! One thing is I would put the text/quote in the same orange box together, the white line kind of separates it. Great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! I'm wondering about the quote as well. The baseline of each line really needs to appear as if it also is a ray of light coming from the clock, currently they appear to be at awkward angles in that space. And, you could also enlarge the quote so that each line (including "Albert Einstein" sits in it' own section between the white lines. It's hard to describe this, so see me in class and I'll explain what I mean.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors used here, it has a bit of a 1920's vibe kind of like the comics of that era and it was really eye catching as well when I came in to look at more projects. Real good job
ReplyDeleteThis is looking great! I really like your choice on making the people purple instead of yellow. It adds more color to it and it's capturing a trend in design right now of making people primary/secondary colors instead of natural skin tones. It's interesting to see different people's idea on what decade it is capturing here. I think it reads across time, which is great for the theme. I has a retro nostalgia while also remaining futuristic. All in all, it's very unique and I like it a lot. Aside from the comments above, I can't really think of anything else to change, to be honest. Great work!
