Mount Wachusett Community College, in Gardner MA offers a 2-year program for Graphic and Interactive Designer students. This final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. I really like the Illustration of the crown however the purple, or the color i assume is purple does not pop out as much as I personally would like. Perhaps a lighter shade would create more contrast against the black? Other then that I think its a great example.
I love the illustration of the crown. I love how the crown is the central focal point in your design. I agree that maybe a lighter, brighter shade of purple can make your design have more contrast against the black background. The yellow/golden colors you chose for the crown and text work well with your design. The pale white colors you used contrast very nicely.
The concept here is really intriguing, with the crown and checkerboard... it's clearly a game of some sorts. Everyone loves a good game!! Other than the value of the purple being a bit too dark, I wonder if you would consider using the heading across the top of the composition, rather than huddled in the upper left corner? You have plenty of space up there for a 1 line, stronger heading. Also, you could think about using "You Are a" above "Style Thief" rather than the contraction... and enlarge it a bit... to encourage us to find it... currently it gets a bit lost.
